VPW was established in the 1990s as Vancouver Pacific Wave Synchronized Swim Club and became a registered non-profit society in 2007 training girls in Vancouver and surrounding areas in recreational and competitive synchronized swimming. Due to changing demographics over the years and with support from the City of Richmond, we have established a strong base in Richmond, and have re-invented our selves as Pacific Wave Synchronized Swim Club (PWS).
Following the Canadian Sport for Life Program, we train our athletes through the 7 stages of LTAD (Long Term Athlete Development) from infancy through all phases of adulthood. But we also make sure it is fun, challenging, and interesting so that your children wants to keep coming back, and develop their skills to higher levels. They will be given a solid foundation of physical, tactical and mental skills, establish an active lifestyle, excel in team environment, and thrive in life.
We have a strong team of coaches and a very dedicated head coach with whom we trust will lead us to becoming BC’s top swim team, with many future athletes making the national and Olympic teams in Canada and all over the world.
