The Dandelion program is an adapted synchronized swimming program that is geared towards children, youth and young adults with disabilities between the ages of (6-18). There are dry land and in water components. It includes Synchro Canada and Synchro B.C. recognized synchronized swimming specific strength and flexibility training exercises.
Supporting organizations for the program include: Vancouver Parks Board-Access Services, B.C. Easter Seals Camps, Richmond Center for Disability, Building Life After Stroke Together, University of British Columbia Synchronized Swim Club and Synchro B.C.
We are offering 2 options within our Dandelion program. A Recreational Program and a Competitive Program.
The Novice program is offered 1 time per week running in 7-10 week long sessions. The sessions are 1.5 hours each (30 minutes on land and 1 hour in the water). The athletes will learn basic synchronized swimming skills.

The Intermediate/Competitive program is a full year program running from September through May. The class trains 1 time per week for 2 hours each session (30 minutes on land and 1.5 hours in the water). The intermediate/competitive team will showcase in our Winter and Year end Watershow and will compete in our Province’s recreational competition held in April.
